Job Title: Entry Level Staff Accountant

As a staff accountant with Centex Homes you will have the opportunity to work on many tasks and in many functional areas, providing the personal growth needed to launch a successful career. You will learn about the financial processes of $12 billion company. You will see how paying an invoice or a two-line journal entry affects a division's income and balance sheets and how that affects the company as a whole. You will experience the hard work and challenges of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the position is that each staff accountant position is unique, and roles can change daily.

Becoming a staff accountant doesn't mean that your experiences will be limited to the finance department, nor does it mean that you have to remain in the accounting field the rest of your career. You will be exposed to the complexities of multi-million dollar land purchases, multi-million dollar budgets to develop that land, pricing and discount strategies that go into selling a new home and more. You will have daily interactions with the controller, division management team members and vendors. The possibilities are truly limitless. It takes hard work and drive, but the rewards are real and significant.

This is an entry level position for college recruits interested in a financial management career at Centex Homes. No prior work history is expected.
